Originally
from the Waterloo Region, Coach Fetter is the Head Coach of the Female
Program at the Okanagan Hockey Academy. He has 15+yrs coaching at the
NCAA Women’s Level. Over the past 8 years, Fetter has been
involved with Hockey Canada, holding the position of Head Coach or
Assistant Coach for Team Canada’s U-18, and U-22 teams, and has claimed three World
Championship titles. Coach Fetter plays a key role at Hockey Canada’s summer
evaluation camps.
As
Head Coach of the University of Guelph Women's Program, Coach Flanagan is a two
time winner of the OUA Coach of the Year Award. During her playing career
as a Gryphon she captained the women's hockey team for two of her five
years, as well as being named to the OUA All-Star Team. Rachel is a
Certified Kinesiologist, and Level 1 Sports Conditioning Specialist. In 2011, along with Coach Fetter, she led
the National Women's U-22 Team to a World
Championship title.
Coach
Vis is the Assistant Coach of the Okanagan Hockey Academy and also brings
experience as an Assistant and Head Coach in the NCAA. Shera
was Head Coach at Stevenson University where she started the women's
ice hockey program in 2011. She is an experienced physical education
teacher and has worked for M.A.H.A hockey camps and the Rick St. Croix Goalie
School. During her playing career at Minnesota State University she
was a four-year letter winner.
University of Waterloo's Stephanie Sluys will join GIRLS GOT GAME as our Goalie Instructor for 2015. Stephanie was named the OUA women's hockey rookie of the year after a tremendous first season between the pipes for the Warriors. The kinesiology student was also named the Waterloo athlete of the week four times this season and was the OUA athlete of the week back in November. Stephanie led the nation with seven shutouts in only 14 starts.
