We are looking for female Junior Hockey Leaders and Volunteers to help us make GIRLS GOT GAME 2016 CAMP a success!
Employment Opportunities
Required Number: 6 leaders
Are you enthusiastic, energetic, and positive? Do you have a strong hockey background, and a genuine interest in working with children? We are looking for strong Junior Hockey Leaders who will have the opportunity to learn from our elite coaching staff. Junior Leaders will be assigned to a group for the week and will be required to assist during ice sessions (tasks could include demonstrating skills, setting up pucks and pylons for drills, working one-on-one with campers), as well as supervising campers during their off-ice activities. Experience in teaching and communicating to children of varied ages an asset.
Requirements:
- must be 17 years of age or older
- must have a strong hockey background
- must have a current police check
- must be available for duration of group's time at camp
(*start and end times are staggered, could be as early as 8:00am, and as late as 5:00pm)
Responsibilities:
- provide supervision and guidance for a group of campers throughout the day
- take direction from Head Coaches, Dryland Instructor, and Camp Director
- actively participate in camp activities on-ice and off-ice
- lead your group's team-building activities
- assist with daily camper sign-in and sign-out
- provide positive role model and leadership to ensure campers have an outstanding experience on-ice and off-ice
Compensation: $550/week

Are you energetic, friendly, and out-going? Are you eager to work with our young female athletes? Do you enjoy leadership activities? We are looking for volunteers to help us provide a fun, safe environment for our players to have an exciting week of hockey development and team building experiences.
Time Requirements:
- attend a short one hour pre-camp meeting to review the responsibilities of the volunteer experience
(Meeting date and time TBD)
- be available 8:15am – 4:15pm each day of camp
Responsibilities:
- assist young players with their equipment during transition times to and from ice sessions
(i.e. tying/untying skates, assisting with helmets, etc.)
- assist young players with the organization/responsibility of their belongings throughout the course of the day
- assist with the implementation of off-ice games and dryland training sessions
- provide a positive role model during team-building activities and off-ice games
- no hockey experience required, as volunteers do not assist during on-ice sessions
- minimum age for volunteers is 14 years old
